A poster announces the fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul, which will be aired on Netflix in July this year.
Netflix announced today (7) a major event for mid-year: boxer Mike Tyson, 57, returns to the ring to fight YouTuber Jake Paul, 27.
The match will be aired on the platform on July 20th this year, at the AT&T Stadium, home of the American football team Dallas Cowboys.
Tyson, the former heavyweight champion, has not fought officially since 2005. He was challenged by Paul, who has had fights with big names in the world of MMA, such as Nate Diaz, Anderson Silva, Tyron Woodley.
Paul said he is focused on becoming a world champion and that “This will be the fight of a lifetime”, according to New York Post.
Tyson praised the young fighter’s progress in the ring and said “it will be very fun to see what the will and ambition of a ‘kid’ can do against the experience and skill of a G.O.A.T.”
